Hi and welcome to Balcony Buddies! We offer balcony garden solutions to help you transform your balcony into a vibrant, enjoyable living space…In a Cinch! Our uniquely designed planters attach securely between vertical railing balusters with a polyester hook and loop cinch strap. Or you can attach them to single posts with nano tape and the strap. Just cinch them on, pop in your favorite nursery plant and voila, you are good to go!
Inspired by European Design
Following a trip to Europe, I drove through an area booming with high-density apartment complexes in Denver. That’s when I noticed the stark contrast between elegant European balconies and the barren, colorless balconies of apartments popping up everywhere in the US. I thought “there must be a better way to beautify those spaces without a lot of work.” That’s when the idea hit me to attach container gardens to balusters. That way, people could free-up valuable surface space AND have a beautiful garden!
I wanted a versatile solution so people with all types of railings could attach (and detach) gardens, decorate the entire canvass of the railing in any configuration, and do all this without using any hardware! That is how the idea of using a cinch strap came to be.
When Covid-19 hit in 2020, I had a strong sense of urgency and passion to bring Balcony Buddies to market. Videos of people singing on their balconies in Italy, and people howling to support medical workers were truly inspirational! In 2020, a balcony became more than just a balcony. It became a symbol of hope and community.
I am proud to offer a product – something as small as a garden to tend – that can give joy to so many.
